Age: 17
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Reileigh has straight dark brown hair that stretches down to her shoulder blades with bangs either pushed to the side or covering her forehead up to her eyebrows. Depending on the situation and time of day, it will either be tied up in a ponytail, or left down. Her light blue eyes, while normally gentle, can be quite intimidating at times to those who are unused to looking people straight in the eyes or if she becomes angered.
Her skin is lightly tanned, her body slim and slender, being a swimmer, she has powerful arms and legs. The curves of her body are extremely modest, but not non-existent. Standing at 5'6, she weighs roughly 115 pounds. Typically, she can be seen in light colored clothing in varying colors, though her favorite to wear is blue. Her attire varies depending on her mood, but normally, she'll wear a loose, flowing tank top and shorts that cover her thighs, ending a few inches above the knees, and sturdy shoes.
Personality:
Reileigh loves swimming, something not altogether miraculous considering she's from the fishing district and spends much of her time in and around the water. She has near limitless patience as a result of being the older sister and motherly figure to her hyperactive, six-year-old twin brothers Zain and Vance and along with that is very kind and passive, rarely fighting or arguing with anyone unless her own friends are in jeopardy or being wronged. She is quick to smile and laugh even in stressful situations because she believes that "Life is too short to be upset", a philosophy she adopted after the death of her mother. Reileigh is the type of person who sees the best in everyone, regardless of how terrible they might be, and is always willing to give her trust to those she can call friends or allies. While she values her own life in the sense she wishes to remain alive for those she loves (her brothers, family, and friends), she will not hesitate to place herself into the line of danger to protect those same people.
Reileigh's kindness, however, should not be mistaken for weakness. While very trusting, she has high expectations that those she willingly brings into her life as friends will remain as faithful to her as she is to them. She is extremely competitive about just about everything that she excels at and never gives up. While she typically will not deny a request, she knows how to say no and will not partake in anything she considers to be 'wrong' in her eyes. The few times Reileigh becomes angry with someone, she will completely disregard their existence.
She excels in fishing and swimming, capable of holding her breath for long periods of time before she has to rise for air and can maneuver in water as well as she can on land. A simple glance is all it takes for her to distinguish an edible sea-creature from a poisonous one. She is an able cook specializing in seafood, a skill she learned from her mother.
History:
Reileigh was born to Adelaide and William Hart seventeen years before the present time, the oldest of three children, two of which are twin brothers Zain and Vance. During her childhood, she spent her days with her father, learning the fundamentals if fishing and aquatic life, and the evenings with her mother learning how to cook and clean. Unlike other children in her District, she was not trained for the Hunger Games as a Career, for her parents never thought that with the population of District 4, she would ever be chosen.
Her life in District 4 was relatively normal until the birth of her brothers. Her mother passed away during her brothers' birth when Reileigh was eleven, and since then, she was forced to take on the role of the mother in Adelaide's stead and as a result, grew up much too fast. When her brothers started school, she spent the days with her father once again, fishing and swimming for catches, and to this day is teaching her brothers what her father once taught her about fishing.
While the Hunger Games is a constant threat in the back of her mind, she tries not to worry because she and her family feel that the chances of her selection are slim.
