Age: Sixteen years old
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 5
Appearance:
Unlike some of the other girls her age, Alledra is small and scrawny. She stands at the height of five feet, seven inches and she has a slender figure. She may give off the impression that she's malnourished and to add to her sickly appearance, Alle has fair skin. While her skin is not pasty white, Alle does have fairer skin than most. She doesn't have many moles or freckles, however that doesn't stop a few from popping up, especially on her face. While she could be packing a little more meat onto her bones, Alle's light weight helps her to be more quick and agile.
While most people would say that Alledra looks incredibly a lot like her mother, others would say that she's got her father's eyes. Alledra did infact inherit most of her mother's traits. A fair complexion, rosy cheeks, full pink lips, a petite nose. Her slender figure is credited to her mother as well, along with her thick, dark brown curls that fall just to her shoulders. However, Alle was born with the Riddle family eyes. Bright blue, big, and inquisitive with a pair of slender eyebrows arching over them and long eyelashes.
Personality:
Alledra Riddle is generally a happy young woman who knows how to act in the situations she’s presented with, sometimes. She likes to have a good time with friends, laughing and smiling, especially if they plan to spend that day outdoors. Alledra loves being outside. She is not one who enjoys being cooped up all the time, especially on nice nights when she can sit outside, listening to the sounds and watching the stars. She is definitely the type of girl who won’t pass someone by without flashing a smile.
She is a person who can be both a polite, well-mannered young lady and then the next day you may see her covered in fur from the animals. She’s definitely not one to be messed with because she’s not afraid to pick a fight and throw the first punch. She’s very protective of those she cares about and doesn’t like to be put down just because she’s a girl. She often finds some kind of satisfaction when she wins, proving her point. Alledra definitely does like to win and when she doesn’t, she can be a bit of a sore loser. She’s the type that when she falls, she pushes herself back up again. She’s a tough cookie and not too many things can get this girl’s determination down.
History:
It was no surprise when Davy Riddle knelt down and proposed to Lisabeth Muller on a beautiful spring morning in May. The Riddles and the Muller families had always been close, forming a deep friendship. They were married shortly after, but the thought about having children was far from their minds. Neither of them wanted to see their kids entered in the Reaping, possibly selected, and sent off to their death. However, fate works in mysterious ways, and Lisabeth soon announced that she was expecting. Despite the joy the families were feeling at an announcement, deep down they were nervous and frightened.
It was a chilly morning in November when Lisabeth's nine month pregnancy came to an end. Davy and Lisabeth were blessed with a healthy, screaming daughter. Having just lost his mother, Lisabeth decided to name their daughter after her husband's mother, Alledra. For the first five years of her life, Alledra was their pride and joy. From an early age she learned how to care for animals. Things changed when she was joined by her younger brother, Dill. She found being a big sister to be incredibly important and took the duty seriously, watching out for him. Four years after Dill was born, the family welcomed their third and last child, Tally.
While attendeding school, Alledra found it interesting to learn about animals. She'd always found them fascinating and she couldn't wait to turn sixteen and help with them. She still took being the eldest seriously and often found herself helping her mother with Dill and Tally. Until, that is, that she found herself doing all the babysitting when her mother passed away during a harsh winter. The blow was devastating and it hit the family, especially Alledra, hard. From that moment on, she had to take charge and grow up. If not for herself than for her family.
