District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Finnick is known around Panem for his unrivaled looks. His many conquests in the Capitol during the Games are legendary, and he is the lust object of many. Finnick has perfectly bronzed skin, due to his former life as a frequent fisher, prior to winning the 65th Games. His body is jaw-droppingly perfect, muscular and slim, a swimmer's body. He has no inhibitions, and embraces how truly attractive he is. His hair is dirty blonde, a short mop that seduces basically anyone who looks at him.
Play-By: Alex Pettyfer
Personality:
The winner from District 4 acts cocky, on the outside. Most see him as the pompous, but gorgeous, guy he appears to be, which is how he intends to be seen. On the inside, he is a wreck. When he is completely by himself, Finnick periodically weeps over the mess he sees as his life. Annie. Annie. Annie. Over and over again, the emotional disaster that is Annie, his one true love, torments Finnick's mind. Being made into a prostitute by the evil Capitol Government has ruined him. Only in the presence of few can he actually be happy, but for the rest, he puts on a nonchalant, macho attitude to give others a man to be proud of.
History:
Finnick was born and raised as the epitome of District 4. He was swimming nearly right after he learned to walk, and rarely left the water afterward. Only in the ocean, did pre-Games Finnick feel completely comfortable. Even now, after being recognized as the "Hottest Victor", Finnick is only able to truly unwind underwater.
Fishing was Finnick's one and only love as a child. Even at 14, all the vendors in District 4 knew that enlisting him as a fisherman guaranteed endless supply. His mother had passed away a few years into Finnick's life, and his father raised him alone. He had no siblings, as Finnick was first born, and after his mother's death, his father couldn't consider another woman for love whatsoever.
Mr. Odair had been a fisherman, until a tragic incident where his back had gone out, forever hindering him from being able to swim again. From then on, he devoted himself to bettering his only son in whatever way possible. Finnick learned everything he knew about nets and tridents from his father.
When Finnick was 14, and it was time for the always dreaded reapings, Finnick was scared, of course, as he wasn't raised a clichéd Career. When his name was drawn, Finnick took it much better than he thought. In the actual Games, Finnick ended up joining the Careers for a bit, but upon receiving his coveted Trident, separated. Capturing and killing worked perfectly, as Finnick ended up winning, becoming one of the youngest tributes ever to become a Victor.
