* Music plays, Avox behind the camera signs for 3... 2... 1.... Snap!*
Good evening everyone, and welcome back from our break! (waits for crowd that has gathered near the stage to quiet) I am coming to you live from the Capitol, and am here to introduce each and every tribute to you this evening.
At this time I would like to call District 8's tribute to the stage.... Alana Mathews! (waits for them to come in) Good evening Alana, and I am sincerely sorry for under which circumstances on which we are meeting. However cheer up darling, you may bot bee a career, but you certianly are a beautiful young girl. Who knows you may beat the odds! We all know you have the courage for it, You volunteered to go instead of your friend Ariadne. Please sit down, just try not to disturb your costume too much, it could sell for allot of money later on if you win.... (waits for Tribute to sit down)
Now I have a distinct set of questions to ask you. These are be generic questions I will ask each tribute, just so that everyone gets to know you. Who knows some of this information could get you some extra nice things in the Arena. However be warned, I may throw in a random question just for you.
We all know that all the tributes will be fighting for their lives, but there is almost always a driving force behind the winners. Tell me Alana, do you have anything, or anyone, really special you will be fighting to come home to?

Alana smiled as she entered the studio. She didn't know what to think of everything. Between the designers and all the food, she was in heaven. In her mind at least. She expected that the Career districts were use to this kind of thing. Food, Better clothes, and the whole shebang. As she sat down, her cotton two piece gown, that just barely covered her barely moved. Nothing would probably change that.
As the question was answered Alana didn't know how to answer it. It had been spur of the moment decision for her to take Ariadne's place. She didn't even know the girl so how was she supposed to tell who she planned on going home to. She didn't have a family at home, the only thing that would change back in the district would be her name would die, and her house would be sold. Nothing else would change. It would be another year from the Hunger Games.
"When I go back to District 8, I plan on seeing Ariadne, and possibly going back to work! I miss having my family and all, but I need strength to pull through." She said as she slightly moved in the chair she was sitting in. She didn't feel comfortable talking about her life back in District 8.

*nods solumly* I hope you get to see your friend too. To sacrifice yourself for a friend... Everyone here admires you, we really do. (murmors of concent from crowd) I like how your designer went with the simple approach, it really brings out your eyes and jaw line.
Now, i can see you aren't very comfortable talking about your district, however we need to know more about you. This interview won't take long so please bare with me. What exactly do you do when you work, and do you enjoy it? I mean we all know you are from the cloth district, however not many capitol people know the process of making cloth, and what all the jobs are.

Alana smiled. How could she now tell them that she had never met the girl who she switched places with before in her life. She couldn't just look at them and be like, well, I gave my own life up for the life of a stranger. That might win her points, but it wasn't part of her mentor's plan. She didn't really like her mentor though. She wondered what he would say if she did tell them that she gave her life up for a stranger.
"I work wherever i can. The mills, the fields, and sometimes in the factories. Its never an easy time to make a living for yourself, you have no time for friends." she said hinting that she wasn't friends with anyone in her district. She hadn't met anyone to be honest.
