Gender: Female
District/Area: District Four
Appearance:
Standing at about five feet six inches, Panthea isn’t the smallest chick around. She comes in at about one hundred and forty pounds – most of it pure muscle – and she knows how to use it. She likes to keep her hair cropped short and many days in the sun have bleached her hair to a white blonde and has given her skin a healthy tan. With eyes that mimic the color of cold steel, Panthea doesn’t really look like someone that should be crossed. She carries herself with a confidence that just screams she can take on anyone and would most likely try. No one would question the fact that she is supposed to be a career.
Personality:
Panthea is a lean, mean, ass-kicking machine. If anyone were full of themselves, Panthea would be that person. She believes she can take on the world and can’t wait to jump into the Games to prove what she’s made of. She’s not afraid of inflicting any sort of damage to someone whether it is physical, mental, or verbal. In fact, she enjoys to watch the expressions flicker across someone face as she attempts to pick them apart. That little trait of hers has given her a sadistic label.
As far as she’s concerned, she’s the top dog and is quick to lash out at anyone that dares say otherwise. She’s one to normally start fights with her short-temper and brute, aggressive personality. And though she’s not fond of losing, she’s not what one would call a sore loser. If someone beats her, she’ll acknowledge it and may even respect him or her. That is, until, she challenges them again in attempts to establish just who the alpha is.
But Panthea’s not all bad. She has a few good characteristics. She’s reliable and, no matter what, will keep her word if she gives it to you. She doesn’t make promises she knows she can’t keep. Panthea is a determined individual and works hard at everything she does. She doesn’t expect anything to be handed to her. In fact, she’s rather independent, finding it better and easier to rely on herself more than others. At least she knows she won’t screw herself over in the long run (though, that trait has lead her to have trust issues… but in this world, who wouldn’t?).
History:
Panthea was born in a decent home. There was never a shortage of food or fear of starving or anything that many other civilians of Panem seem to face. Sure, she didn’t have the best family life with a father that pushes her too hard and a frigid mother. Not to mention that being the eldest child in the family has put a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. But those aren’t the only reasons she’s so full of anger and ready to throw away her life with the Games.
Panthea was about thirteen years old come the 70th Hunger Games. That was the year her older sister was chosen as a tribute. That year, Panthea watched has her sister was murdered for all of Panem to watch. No, Panthea does not like the Games. But she believes in some sick form of justice. A twisted version of karma. If her father had to lose a daughter and she had to lose a sister, so does everyone else. And she won’t settle until she personally takes them away. A dark mixture of the 70th Games and her father’s constant nagging has warped her mind to think like this. She wasn’t always so callous or cold. In fact, she used to be sweet. But things changed. She changed.
This year is her year to volunteer if she is not chosen as a tribute.
